I’m the co-founder and co-owner of the Latinx Education Coach LLC.
I became a teacher at 21, and over the last 12 years, there have been countless times where I’ve sat in meetings, workshops, and PDs led by no one who looked like me. After leaving these spaces, I would think, “I could be leading this.”
I can now see that the desire to lead was planted in my heart after having experienced first-hand the lack of Latinx representation in educational leadership.
December 2020, in the middle of virtual teaching, while pregnant, I decided to start the Latinx Education Coach LLC alongside my husband (he’s also a teacher) to grow our impact and build our legacy. Owning our own business gives us the freedom to personalize the way we support first-gen and Latinx students, which is exciting!
